Refunds

Eligibility

Refunds relate to invoices issued under a signed engagement letter. Website enquiries alone do not create fees. Where a deposit was paid on acceptance, refund eligibility depends on how much planning or fieldwork has begun.

Timeframe to request

Refund requests should be sent in writing to info@analyticsautomationlab.digital within fourteen days of the invoice date or the cancellation notice, whichever is relevant, unless the engagement letter sets a different window.

Full refund

A full refund of fees paid may apply if we cancel the engagement for reasons within our control before planning fieldwork starts, or if independence issues discovered after acceptance prevent us from continuing and no substantive work has been delivered.

Partial refund

If you cancel after planning or interim fieldwork has started, we invoice for hours reasonably incurred and recoverable costs (for example, travel already booked for inventory attendance). Any deposit is applied to that amount; the remainder may be refunded or an additional balance may be due.

Non-refundable items

Fees for work already performed, third-party confirmation charges already incurred, and non-cancellable travel purchased with your written approval are not refundable.

Deposits

Engagement letters may require a deposit on acceptance. Deposits secure staff scheduling for your year-end and inventory weekends. Unused deposit amounts after final billing are refunded according to this policy.

Cancellation & rescheduling

You may request rescheduling of fieldwork dates subject to team availability. Moving an inventory attendance weekend with less than ten business days’ notice may incur a rescheduling fee set out in the engagement letter. Cancellation must be written.

No-shows & access failures

If auditors arrive as scheduled and are denied access to books, warehouses, or key personnel without prior notice, time on site may be billed and is not refundable.

Work already started

Draft working papers, confirmation requests sent, and review notes prepared count as started work. Stopping mid-engagement does not entitle you to a refund of fees covering that work.

Process & timing

Email info@analyticsautomationlab.digital with the engagement name, invoice number, and reason. We confirm the calculation within ten business days. Approved refunds are returned via the original payment method within fourteen business days where the payment channel allows.

Exceptions

Mandatory regulatory work that must continue, or situations where law or professional standards require retention of fees already earned, may limit refunds. The signed engagement letter prevails if it states specific commercial terms.
